Energy Storage
Good Company is providing staff support to the Texas Energy Storage Alliance, a group working to advance the policy environment for energy storage in the Texas and ERCOT markets. Please visit the Alliance web site to find out more about the coalition and how you can participate.
Large-scale energy storage and large-scale deployment of distributed energy storage, holds untapped potential for the electric power industry and customers. Electric power and thermal energy storage technologies can cleanly and cost-effectively reduce the need for new power plants and transmission lines, reduce congestion in urban areas, and improve system reliability, and save money. Good Company Associates has worked with a number of energy storage clients, including a large-scale compressed-air energy storage (CAES) company, a flywheel energy storage start-up, and a coalition of thermal energy storage companies organized under the American Refrigeration Institute (ARI). Today, we are supporting the start-up of an exciting thermal storage technology made to complement smaller scale HVAC systems for homes and businesses.

What We Can Do for You
We can provide legislative and regulatory affairs services to energy storage companies and other energy companies wanting to diversify into the storage business. In 2005 we helped pass legislation to define energy storage as an energy efficiency measure, making customer installations eligible for rebates in much of Texas. We can help emerging storage technology companies navigate the Texas market and the evolving environment for storage. We can help resolve legal and regulatory issues and bring together the partners and stakeholders you need to make energy storage projects successful, or help develop creative business strategies.
