Renewable Energy

Good Company Associates possesses years of experience with renewable energy and has been integrally involved in the evolution of the Texas renewable energy industry, and policy since our founding in 1990. We helped develop the first commercial wind farms in Texas, and currently support biomass, geothermal and solar companies entering this market.  We represented the Texas Renewable Energy Coalition for two legislative sessions and helped in the development of electric utility restructuring legislation at the wholesale and retail level. We coordinated the campaign to attract the National Wind Blade Test Facility to Texas.  We are providing staff support to the Texas Foundation for Innovative Communities, which has been chosen to facilitate industry input to the state’s green workforce training initiatives.

What We Can Do for You

We know the Texas laws and regulations that effect renewable energy very well and are dedicated to developing a positive policy environment for the expansion of clean renewable energy in Texas.  We are available to provide legislative and regulatory affairs services for reputable renewable energy project developers, equipment manufacturers, or service and technology providers.

We know the Texas market and can help companies find a partner, find a customer, take advantage of incentives, or just find a niche in the Lone Star state.  We are familiar with ERCOT and the market protocols affecting renewables, as well as efficiency, load management, and demand response.  We helped launch some of the earliest renewable energy incentive programs and can assist utilities or communities considering the adoption of either policies or programs.
