Renewable Energy
Market Research & Business Development
We have an extensive and detailed familiarity with renewable energy laws and regulations and are available to provide legislative and regulatory affairs services for reputable renewable energy developers, equipment manufacturers or technology companies.
While largely focused on our home state of Texas, we have experience in multiple states and at the federal level. When clients are researching and exploring new opportunities, Good Company is quickly able to provide detailed analysis and reports to its clients on state renewable energy activities. To use a recent example, we compiled a detailed review of the states with multi-tiered renewable portfolio standards and used that information in legislative and regulatory efforts for our clients so that their advocacy efforts were strengthened. Crafting messages and obtaining the pertinent information needed to make a strong case is where Good Company excels. If our clients need information, we deliver it.
Good Company helped establish a crucial business partnership, develop a market strategy, negotiate purchase power agreements, and identify competitive sources of financing for projects amounting to 480 MW of capacity for one of our clients. We then spent two years guiding grassroots groups in several states outside of Texas to adopt renewable portfolio standard legislation of their own. We developed a business plan for a Fortune 500 company interested in entering the wind industry. We also helped a solar product manufacturer develop a market plan for a unique new product and assisted in the design of a new solar water heating market transformation program adopted by the PUCT.
Private investors have asked Good Company Associates to develop multiple sites with the potential for development, construction and operation of renewable power projects. We locate good sites, willing landowners and occasionally identify post development properties or partially developed project sites in which clients can invest or acquire from other developers.
